Tyson Fury’s Wife’s Instant Reaction to Controversial Decision Against Usyk Wins the Internet

Former WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury fell short in his bid to avenge his loss from May against the reigning WBC, WBA, and WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk. Meanwhile, as the fight concluded, cameras captured his wife, Paris Fury, reacting to the moment when ‘The Gypsy King’ was unable to claim victory. 

‘The Cat’ secured a split-decision win last May. Reportedly, Paris had suffered a miscarriage back home in London, adding despair to her husband’s loss. Despite the heartbreak, in the lead-up to his rematch, the Englishman locked himself away from his family to focus on his rematch with Usyk.

Paris Fury expressed disappointment

He hoped drowning himself in training would give him the edge over Usyk, which he didn’t have last time. However, when the pair met again on Saturday night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the results became overwhelmingly in Usyk’s favor. He walked away with a controversial unanimous decision win following 12 grueling rounds of back and forth. 

As Michael Buffer was reading out the results from the judges, Paris was ringside, and a camera was ready to capture her reaction. With Usyk crowned the victor again (with some truly abysmal scoring from the judges), the 35-year-old nodded her head in disappointment. TNT Sports shared Paris’ reaction on X with the caption, “Paris Fury’s reaction during the decision…”

Previously speaking to TNT Sports, Paris had expressed confidence in her husband securing a win in his rematch with Usyk. “Yeah, it is nice. It’ll be nice to see him win tonight,” she said. When asked how Tyson Fury may win the fight, she added, “Hopefully with the mood he’s in very quickly and very brutally.”

This prediction, of course, fell short of coming to fruition, and Tyson Fury was fuming in the aftermath. Having heard the decision fall in Usyk’s favor, the towering heavyweight stormed out of the ring without conducting his post-fight in-ring interview. His wife, Paris, comforted the Englishman as they returned to the dressing room.

While Fury may have lost the fight, his wife, Paris, won over the internet with her reaction to the decision. 

Paris stole the show in Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury rematch

Married since 2008, Paris has been a constant presence ringside for most of Tyson Fury’s bouts. However, this particular fight appears to have drawn more attention to her than ever before. One user highlighted what Fury really won despite his loss to Usyk. “That’s love & concern! Fury won in life,” the user wrote. The couple has seven children together and all the money they will ever need—despite his loss on Saturday, he will probably be a happy camper for the rest of his life. 

Meanwhile, this user highlighted Fury’s potential purse for the fight. “Her man just made 72 [million] I’d be smiling,” the user commented. Although the reported purse for the fight is $191 million (£150 million), the split has not been revealed. However, considering Fury is the A-Side, he might have gotten the lion’s share of the purse, potentially making his payout more than $72 million. 

Another user believed Paris’ reaction was justified, claiming Fury had won the rematch. “She’s old school and understands how to score boxing. She knows Tyson won that,” the user wrote. While the fight was closer than what the score from the judges showed, Usyk definitely was the winner with a clear edge over Fury, throughout the fight. 

Paris’ reaction did not surprise the next user. “Nothing surprising here, just disappointed her man didn’t take the win,” the user remarked. Just eight months ago, Fury was undefeated and was often regarded as the best heavyweight in the world—all that is gone now, so the disappointment is understandable. 

Someone else highlighted that whoever planned to get Paris’ instant reaction had their plans backfire on them. “Damn, they had the camera on her trying to get the moment Fury won and it backfired lol 😂,” the user wrote. Win or lose, it’s more likely they just wanted to get Paris’s reaction, which has since gone viral.
