WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder have had a rivalry for the ages. The two have met thrice in the ring with ‘The Gypsy King’ getting the better of the former champ on two occasions and a draw. However, the fights were much closer, with Wilder managing to knock Fury down twice in their third fight.

This has many fans wanting to see a fourth bout between the two heavyweight behemoths. However, Fury has revealed the only condition to face his former foe one more time. In an interview with BT Sport, Fury stated that Wilder would now be facing Andy Ruiz Jr. following his sensation victory over Robert Helenius in October in a title eliminator for Fury’s WBC title. He then went on to suggest that a fight in the UK would be a great thing as he’d already fought in the United States thrice and that this was his condition for the fourth fight.

Deontay Wilder is now fighting Andy Ruiz Junior for a final eliminator to fight me. Now [a fourth fight] would be amazing here at Wembley again, wouldn’t it? I’ve been over there [to America] three times now. If he wants the fourth fight he’s got to come here.” said Fury.

The fourth bout between them could now be on the horizon if Wilder manages to overcome Ruiz. However, unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk who has also called out Fury for a match in 2023 might be facing him for the undisputed title. Fury will defend his title against Derek Chisora on November 3, in a lackluster bout to end the year before taking on actual contenders in 2023.

In the interview, Fury also expressed his interest in facing Usyk if he won against Chisora. He stated that if the Ukrainian and his team were willing and the financial terms were right he would like that fight next. “Usyk can be made, if they actually want the fight then we’ll do that fight next, provided I win and everything goes right. You can’t count your chickens before they hatch, but that’s the fight I would like next,” said Fury.

It looks like Wilder might have to wait a while before facing Fury, as he is keen on becoming the undisputed champion. However, he has to overcome Chisora for the third time if he wants to stay atop the heavyweight division.
