Despite Oleksandr Usyk‘s willingness to dish it out in the ring for a 70/30 split, the potential bout with Tyson Fury collapsed unfortunately. As reported, the two boxers could not agree on material terms other than the split. Since the duo could not sign a contract before the 1st of April, Usyk will now face Daniel Dubois, his WBA mandatory challenger. While it is still unclear who Tyson Fury will face next, he has been recently branded as a copy of boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
It looks like Usyk is not done jabbing at ‘The Gypsy King’. While the Ukrainian boxer’s wife recently trolled Fury accusing the same of being greedy, the unified Heavyweight champion recently took shots at Fury while roping in ‘The Greatest’ Muhammad Ali.

Michael Benson from talkSPORT reported the English translation of Usyk’s speech. Other than a 70% share of the purse, Tyson Fury demanded the exclusion of a rematch clause should he face Usyk in the ring. Although Usyk accepted the “greedy-belly” split, with regard to other terms, the boxers gripped disharmony. Meanwhile, Bob Arum recently disclosed that the Saudis offered Usyk $60M to fight Fury in the winter of 2023.
