Unlike the boxing purists who are against Jake Paul fighting Mike Tyson, Tyson Fury believes there is no reason why one should not like ‘Iron Mike’ vs. ‘The Problem Child’. Initially, Paul vs. Tyson was supposed to be an exhibition match on July 20th inside the AT&T Stadium in Texas. However, the organizers of the said fight are currently trying to sanction the match as a professional bout.
At this, several figures from the boxing world showed concern for Tyson’s health as Tyson was 30 years older than ‘The Problem Child’. However, ‘The Gypsy King’ argued in favor of the match. In his opinion, the fight will not only be rewarding but also fair.

Lately, Oscar De La Hoya claimed that even though Paul vs. Tyson would bring viewers to the sport, it would not set “the right image” for boxing. Likewise, De La Hoya disapproved of the upcoming match and advised Paul to take a different route. In this connection, while Tyson Fury did not ponder over the kind of image Paul vs. Mike would impose on boxing, ‘The Gypsy King’ highlighted the massive exposure the controversial fight would bring. “I think it’s fantastic for boxing,” said Fury.
“You’ve got a legend in Mike Tyson and you’ve got a YouTube boxer who’s come into the game and blew it up. He’s got millions of followers, millions of views, and millions of eyes. Some people love him. Some people hate it. So, I think it’s a good spectacle for boxing. It brings a lot of people to the game,” Tyson Fury told The Stomping Ground.
“And listen, who am I to say Mike Tyson or Jake Paul shouldn’t be boxing? Good luck to them, they’re both gonna make a s*** ton of money out of it. Isn’t that what it’s about?” he added. Along these lines, Fury explained why Paul vs. Tyson would be a fair match.

According to Fury, AT&T Stadium is a lovely venue for Mike Tyson to return against Jake Paul. Additionally, since both boxers will earn laudable paychecks, Fury fails to comprehend “what’s not to like.” And while Tyson is 57, ‘The Gypsy King’ reminded the fans that Mike Tyson is a former undisputed Heavyweight champion. “Okay, the guy’s 57, but he’s the former undisputed heavyweight king. The other guy plays on his computer for a living and came into boxing a year ago,” said Fury.
“It’s a pretty even match. From being a kid on the Disney channel to fighting Mike Tyson. Who wouldn’t want to do that? People say it’s s***, but I bet they still watch it,” he concluded.
