WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury wants to return to action on December 5 in the U.K., even if Deontay Wilder isn’t standing on the other side of the ring.
Following massive turmoils in contract, dates, and venue, Tyson Fury is seemingly done with his American rival. He now seeks some new challenge on his way. Although Fury is still open to facing Wilder, he won’t close the gates for some new contenders, especially if it’s the unified world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua.
From the very initial moment, Fury vowed to accept a fight in December. However, Wilder’s team failed to provide an official date. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ also said that he underwent surgery and couldn’t prepare for a full training camp.

So where does it leave the situation? Well, ‘The Gypsy King’ and ‘AJ’ can touch gloves inside the ring. Yet it is still too early to predict.
Anthony Joshua will defend his titles against Kubrat Pulev first. So, he needs to step away from that matchup to finalize another one with Fury. That said, ‘The Gypsy King’ might have to look for several other options in the division.
Tyson Fury has moved on from Deontay Wilder
In an interaction with The Athletic, Fury confirmed that Wilder was always his priority. Coming off a sensational KO win in February, he was looking forward to adding one more to his record.
Fury said, “I was looking forward to smashing Wilder again. A quick and easy fight. But Wilder and his team were messing around with the date. They don’t really want to fight the lineal heavyweight champion. They know how it ends. The world knows how it will end with Wilder on his a** again.”

However, Fury claimed that Wilder’s team snubbed him by constantly shifting dates. Initially, he accepted to it but after continuous changes, ‘The Gypsy King’ moved on from ‘The Bronze Bomber.’

“They asked me if I would agree to push it to December. I agreed to Dec. 19. Then they tried to change the date again into next year. I’ve been training. I’m ready. When they tried moving off Dec. 19 and pushing to next year, enough was enough. I’ve moved on.”
While Fury will fight in the U.K. in December, his opponent is still not final. Unless his promoters find something alluring, Joshua and Wilder’s name will keep floating in the news.
