Boxing is indeed a sport of money these days, with many walking out with millions in their bank accounts. Something that not only benefits the boxer in question but also their kids and grandkids. However, that might not be the case for Tyson Fury’s children! As a tweet from Boxing Kingdom about Tyson Fury revealed today!

The ‘best heavyweight’ is about to enter the ring against Oleksandr Usyk on May 18 at Kingdom Arena, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The historical fight will see the first undisputed heavyweight champion emerge since Lennox Lewis in 1999, making it one of the biggest fights of the last two decades. And guess what! Given what’s at stake, both fighters will walk out with an unbelievable amount, especially Fury—who is expected to make over $100 million, win or lose. However, none of it will go to Fury’s kids!

Earlier today, Boxing Kingdom hopped on X to write, “According to reports, Tyson Fury has told his children they won’t receive an inheritance in the future. Fury is set to earn in excess of $100M US for his undisputed bout against Oleksandr Usyk.” It’s also worth mentioning that the $100 million figure is just an estimation, the actual amount could be far greater.

Not to mention, this isn’t the only big money fight Fury has been in of late. In his last outing, ‘The Gypsy King’ took on Francis Ngannou, for which he made somewhere around $50 million, not including PPV and sponsorship. However, even this isn’t the end of bad news for Fury’s seven kids. Regardless of the outcome in the coming weekend, Usyk and Fury have a rematch clause, which will see them duke it out again, potentially producing another money maker. Still, the question is, why would Fury deny wealth to his own children?

Tyson Fury fears his children will become weak and spoilt

According to a report from Jack McEachen from the United Kingdom’s Daily Express, Fury said, “I want my kids to get their own money, do their own things and be their own people. I don’t believe in just giving all your money to your kids but it will make them weak, spoilt and not value anything, worthless.”

Tyson describes the situation, suggesting he doesn’t want his kids to grow up making something of themselves, spending their father’s money. “I will help them with business deals and investments but I am not a person who will just give everyone an easy life. Hard work, dedication and sacrifice are what makes people strives for different things,” said.
