British boxing superstar Tyson Fury is currently preparing for his trilogy fight with Derek Chisora. It is going to take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, on December 3rd. However, Anthony Joshua was supposed to lock horns with Fury on the same. Unfortunately, it never reached a point where it was finalized. When Tyson Fury retired after his fight with Dillian Whyte, he stated that he would make a boxing comeback to fight Anthony Joshua. Additionally, he mentioned that he would do it for free and it would be an all-British event. But nothing like that ever transpired.

While talking about a clash with Joshua, Fury said, “I tried and tried and tried to make it happen. It’s not down to me why this fight’s never happened, it’s down to the other idiot. You couldn’t drag him to a ring to fight the Gypsy King. Anthony Joshua can go suck a di*k.”

Given that Fury had already defeated Chisora twice, fans weren’t enthusiastic to watch their third battle. Fury, though, claimed in a post on Instagram that 50,000 tickets had been sold. It’s possible that the number has grown since then as well.

‘The Gypsy King’ got a glorious farewell as he defeated Dillian Whyte in front of 94,000 people in April. However, it did not take him too long to spill some beans about a comeback. After the Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk rematch, Fury announced his return to take on Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight title. Apart from that fight, he also has a line-up of other interesting fights for 2023.

He tried to explain the reason for his return from retirement and said, “I need this, I need this more than I ever thought I’d ever need something and I still have a lot to give, so here we are giving again. Giving more blood. I need it mentally, physically, emotionally, I’m not ready to let it go right now.”
