However, he then claimed that he would return as soon as his injury was healed to face Usyk. If the injury takes 2 months to heal, we could see a match between the two by the summer of 2023. Moreover, with Fury now past his warm-up fights, he needs to take on someone of Usyk’s caliber if he wants to cement his legacy among the all-time heavyweight greats.
Tyson Fury calls out Oleksandr Usyk after beating Chisora
‘The Gypsy King‘ wasted no time in calling out Usyk after he dominated ‘Del Boy. In the post-fight ring interview, Fury immediately announced that the Ukrainian boxer will be the one who he faces next. “Where is Oleksandr Usyk, the rabbit? Hey rabbit, Usyk you’re next, you little bi**h, you’re next. You are next, me and you s*cker next, me and you, you get me s*cker, rabbit, pu**y” said Fury.

This was not all, as he even poked fun at Usyk’s victory over Anthony Joshua and boasted about his victory over Wladimir Klitschko. ” 15 stone little midget beats a bodybuilder. Well, I ain’t no bodybuilder sucker, I’m gonna write you off. I already did one Ukrainian, didn’t I? and I will do you as well,” he added.
A fight between the two heavyweight champions now seems inevitable and the right fight to book. However, in a sport like boxing, nothing is written in stone as fans can only hope to see the two finally meet in the ring.
