The fight between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte has become the center of the boxing world. Many people, including the Matchroom boss, Eddie Hearn, have expressed reservations and questions about Tyson Fury’s retirement. Hearn spoke with Fury through FaceTime while the champion was celebrating his recent victory.

From what Eddie Hearn gathered from the call with Tyson fury, he believes that the boxer is still not done fighting and has no plans to retire.  

Eddie Hearn Claims That Tyson Fury Ain’t Retiring

During the DAZN Boxing Show, Hearn made comments about Fury’s retirement. He said, “But I will say that Tyson Fury is a great bluff merchant. And he ain’t retiring. The biggest fights for Fury haven’t happened yet. And I will say one thing again: he’s the best heavyweight on the planet right now. I’ll give him that. When we talk about generational greatness, he could be a great for this exact generation.”

With around 94,000 people assembled at Wembley Stadium in London and millions of other fans at home have claimed Tyson Fury is unbeatable. But, Hearn has a different way of looking at this. He regards Fury as the best heavyweight on the planet right now. But, the boxer can only achieve generational greatness when he defeats Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk.

Eddie Hearn continued, “But please, victories over [Deontay] Wilder, and [Wladimir] Klitschko, and Whyte, please do not talk about him being in the same breath as [Muhammad] Ali, [Joe] Frazier, and Lennox Lewis. But if he beat AJ and Usyk, I’d give him all the respect of being up there right up with Lennox Lewis.”

The Fury vs Whyte clash was a mesmerizing bout and a treat for both of their audiences. The match decided its winner in the sixth round. After having very decisive and brutal combat, Fury managed to land an outstanding right uppercut, thus defeating Dillian Whyte and prevailing as the hero of that evening. Thus, Fury retained his title of being the heavyweight champion and was declared the winner by TKO.
