Former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua just got done with the all-British clash against IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois, which saw a record 96,000 people in attendance. Now, he might be heading into another banger against former WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
You see, Joshua and Fury are two of the most prominent British heavyweights who have been pitted against each other for a potential fight for several years. Despite numerous attempts to negotiate a fight between them, nothing has ever materialized. However, here’s where things get interesting.
Joshua just lost to ‘DDD’ in a huge upset, with people questioning his ability to fight. In the meantime, ‘The Gypsy King’ has stepped up to reveal that a fight between him and Joshua will indeed happen, otherwise, it would be a travesty. While speaking to a panel of experts during yesterday’s event headlining Nick Ball vs. Ronny Rios on TNT Sports, Fury stated, “At the end of the day, it’d be a travesty if we didn’t fight.”

Referring to Joshua’s unforeseen loss, where he was dropped four times en route to a knockout at Wembley last month, Fury confidently announced, “No matter if he loses 20 more fights. If he doesn’t win another fight and has ten years away from the game, it doesn’t matter, we have to fight. It’d be a travesty.”
It’s also worth mentioning that since his loss to ‘Dynamite,’ Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn have expressed interest in a rematch with Dubois. While they didn’t have a rematch clause in the contract, Daniel Dubois has revealed he would be open to fighting anyone who offers him the most money.
That means while the Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury fight may not happen soon, it’s definitely in the cards, much to the delight of all the British boxing fans. Not to mention, Fury has a huge test ahead of him as he prepares to lock horns with former undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk again in December. Meanwhile, it appears Fury has settled on roasting Anthony Joshua.

Since Joshua’s loss, ‘The Gypsy King’ seems to have revitalized his rivalry with ‘AJ.’ Take his recent Instagram story, for example. Mocking his fellow British heavyweight, Fury presented a humorous comparison between their lifestyles. In a playful post, Fury contrasted Joshua’s mindful diet with his relaxed approach to food.
Sharing Joshua’s image with a chiseled physique and the details of his breakfast, Fury highlighted, “My breakfast consists of yams, eggs, and dates. Followed by a big bowl of porridge, a protein shake, a glass of orange juice, and a glass of honey, lemon, and ginger.” Meanwhile, Fury also shared his own diet, which has helped him build his flabby and pudgy physique.
Under his own picture, Tyson wrote, “I remember one night I had 14 pints of Fosters and then sparred three top-ten heavyweights and battered them all,” adding a cheeky “Just saying” with a laughing emoji.
