Tyson Fury closes an epic chapter of his life following his bout against his former sparring partner, Dillian Whyte, at Wembley, London. In front of a jaw-dropping attendance of ninety-four-thousand people, Fury rises victorious introducing the largest purses ever paid to British boxing on the UK soil.

With only a second left in the sixth round, the referee waved off the fight to Fury’s corner and the 33-year-old successfully retained his WBC heavyweight belt. Immediately after the bout, at the post-fight conference, ‘The Gypsy King’ talked his heart out. He spoke about almost everything that had happened within the enclosure of the ropes during the exciting match. While the conversation was going on, Fury made some noteworthy claims about Whyte’s performance that catch one’s eye.

“He tried to make it rough, fair play to him. He was trying to manhandle me in there. But you know, I’ve never tried wrestling with a dinosaur before. I’m like a T-Rex in there, six foot nine, 270 pounds. It’s difficult, especially when shorter and you’re not as quick as well,” Fury said.

He tried hitting me with the elbows, head; he tried nutting me. Wladimir Klitschko on me. He was trying everything; he was using the forearms, trying to elbow me. But I mean, when you try and cheat the fight, you always come up second best because he went to nut me and he got caught. Which was his own fault, but like I’ve always said, boxing is not ballet dancing, it’s a contact sport, a fight,” he added.

Tyson Fury lands some effective jabs soon as the fight goes underway. Clearly, he wins the first round 10-9. As the second round begins, both the boxers switch stance – Whyte goes orthodox and Fury throws from southpaw. At the end of the second round, the score is 20-18, Fury. The third round begins and Fury is already penetrating Whyte’s guard, landing some significant shots to the opponent’s head and body.

Fury repeats his game plan and his punishment of Whyte. The following rounds look more or less the same. As the bout comes near the end of the sixth round, Fury fills Whyte with some 1-2s. He repeatedly trespasses Whyte’s guard.

Finally, with only a few moments left in the round, The Gypsy King baits The Body Snatcher in with light jabs. And right when Whyte is in close distance, Fury whips in an uppercut that sees the former hit the ground.
