Not too long ago, boxing enthusiasts were eagerly awaiting the highly anticipated clash in the heavyweight division. Unfortunately, the negotiations took an unexpected turn following Tyson Fury‘s extensive list of requirements. Consequently, many devoted fans were left feeling disappointed and disheartened. In a surprising twist of events, Andy Ruiz Jr. seized the opportunity last month to throw down the gauntlet and challenge Fury for an exhilarating showdown.
However, the discussions appeared to reach an impasse when Ruiz Jr. allegedly requested a significant sum of money to square off against ‘The Gypsy King’. This would have marked Ruiz Jr.’s first championship match since his defeat against Anthony Joshua in December 2019. Tyson Fury expressed his frustration on Instagram and seized the opportunity to issue a challenge to anyone willing to accept. Additionally, he criticized Ruiz Jr. for his exorbitant financial demands.

Tyson Fury has been going off on Instagram, from blasting Joe Rogan to challenging Francis Ngannou. Fury seems to be ready and pumped up to return to the ring. His recent negotiations seem to be falling over one after the other, which seems to have only fueled his desire to fight even more. In the video, Fury stated his intent clearly, “I wanna knock all these motherf**ers out, and I’m ready to rumble”. He also stated his frustration at the fact that he hasn’t fought anyone since December. He claimed that even though he tried to fight Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua, they don’t want to face him.

Fury then blasted Former Heavyweight titleholder Ruiz revealing the reason for the negotiations falling off. He claimed that Ruiz wanted $20 million to fight him. He also expressed his confusion, questioning where he is getting the number from. Fury said, “Andy Ruiz is after $20 million, silly little bard I don’t know where he is getting that from”. It is usually Fury who makes such demands against his opponents, so this must have been a shock for Fury. Even during the talks of his bout against Usyk, Fury made various demands including a 70-30 split. The fight never came to fruition. It remains to be seen if Fury can finalize a deal with Ruiz so that fans can get to see him return to the ring this year against a worthy opponent.
