Ahead of his boxing bout with Jake Paul, Tyron Woodley spoke about his training experience with Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. ‘The Chosen One’ revealed his skills surprised the 50-0 legend. However, Woodley said that even though he impressed ‘Money’ and his coach with his training, he admitted that he still has a lot to learn.

The former five-time UFC champion added with all honesty that he has to work more on his fundamentals that he never learned during his mixed martial training sessions.

He told me certain aspects he was very impressed with and he’s very surprised and his coach echoed it and man, I can’t tell you because I’m going to be utilizing the mess out of it, but he was like, ‘man his game in this area is crazy, man’ and I understand why,” said Tyron Woodley.

And fundamentally, it’s still a lot of stuff I got to work on… A lot of stuff MMA coaches allow you to get away with,” the former UFC champion added.

Tyron Woodley is a serious threat to Jake Paul

Tyron Woodley revealed Floyd Mayweather shared insights from his own fight against Logan Paul. ‘Money’ expects Jake Paul to apply the same approach against Woodley. He added that Floyd Mayweather identified loopholes in Paul’s approach and pointed out areas for improvement to Tyron Woodley.

Coming off four consecutive losses against top-tier welterweights in the UFC, Tyron Woodley is now training hard and giving it his all to get back into the win column. With Woodley doubling down on his effort and training for this fight, he could prove to be a real problem for Jake Paul.

So far, Jake Paul has defeated a YouTube influencer, an NBA athlete, and a retired MMA fighter. However, Tyron Woodley is still an active fighter and had his last MMA fight in March 2021. Even though ‘The Chosen One’ started off as an NCAA wrestler, his back-to-back finishes in Strikeforce and the UFC made him famous for his knockout abilities.

This is Tyron Woodley’s shot at redemption and this is Jake Paul’s shot at proving his doubters wrong. A victory would mean almost the same for both fighters; It would allow the winner to move into deeper waters to fight high-level pro-boxers. How do you see this fight playing out?
