Former UFC champion, Tyron Woodley, is now gearing up for a showdown against Jake Paul on August 28. He has joined hands with Floyd Mayweather for better preparations. While Woodley was already undergoing an active camp, Mayweather’s arrival seems to have improved several things on ‘T-Wood’s’ side.

Hence, Woodley appears confident of getting the win next month. Speaking with Fight Hub TV, the MMA elite revealed how he and ‘Money’ Mayweather came together to hatch a plan to dismantle Jake Paul.

“Because he [Floyd Mayweather] was so disrespected by Jake [Paul], and so pi*sed off at him or he really wanted to me help me and he came in yesterday and we trained yesterday. And he really wanted to help me,” said Tyron Woodley.

Floyd Mayweather made an in-ring return last month against Jake Paul’s brother, Logan Paul, which might have been the worst performance of his career. The undefeated star went to the distance against a YouTuber and failed to claim a win. Furthermore, Jake Paul humiliated Mayweather throughout the buildup of the fight. Hence, ‘TBE’ seems eager to punish ‘The Problem Child’(and by some extension Logan Paul), but via ‘The Chosen One’.

Jake Paul is undefeated in his first three professional fights. He vanquished Ben Askren in his last appearance. Now, he will look forward to adding Tyron Woodley to a list of names he has conquered.

Despite holding the status of a top-tier combatant, Woodley is still new to the boxing world. He has never competed in a pro boxing bout and has minimal punching experience on his corner. However, the 5X UFC titlist is an elite striker and can stop any man with his powerful fists. That said, Floyd Mayweather can infuse the boxing abilities in him.

Woodley’s last four fights in the UFC saw him suffer big losses that ultimately ended his career in the promotion. Hence, a boxing resurrection can help him grab his lost stardom in the fight world. As Mayweather seems optimistic about Woodley’s chances against Paul, we may see ‘The Problem Child’ face his maiden defeat.
