Marikit Laurico, the personal assistant of Floyd Mayweather recently passed away after a trip to Dubai. The incident led Mayweather to come out of his character which is well-associated with a constant brag about financial prosperity in the sport. In an unthinkable gesture, paying tribute to Laurico who worked with Mayweather for a significant number of years, Floyd changed his Instagram profile picture.

Following the tragic occurrence, Floyd’s daughter Yaya Mayweather also took to Instagram and addressed her loss. In an emotional message, she declared that her heart was heavy. In addition, Yaya Mayweather called Marikit Laurico “the definition of someone with a good heart“. After Yaya Mayweather, Jirah Mayweather has now taken to social media to mourn the devastating loss of Laurico who, in Yaya Mayweather’s words, was “more than just my dad’s assistant“.

While Floyd Mayweather and Yaya Mayweather penned heartfelt messages on their respective Instagram accounts, Jirah Mayweather shared a photo of her with Marikit Laurico. Floyd Mayweather addressed Laurico as “One of my closest friends, strongest soldiers and a beam of light who entered anyone she’s ever touched.” Likewise, Yaya Mayweather wrote,you always lifted people up and made them feel good about themselves“. Along these lines, now Jirah Mayweather has also expressed her sadness, but she has done it without words.

In addition, Yaya’s mother Melissia Brim, also conveyed her condolences. Taking to her Instagram account, she wrote, “Kitchie I just wanted to say how broken my heart is right now. You were definitely a blessing in my life & my family’s as well.” She recalled how they sat ringside and laughed. In addition, she mentioned she would miss Laurico. “I will cherish all the memories I have [with] you forever!” she added.
