The heavyweight division in boxing is once again heating up, with former heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. hinting at a potential bout with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Ruiz burst onto the scene in 2019 when he shocked the world by defeating then-heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. Many experts had written Ruiz off before the fight. However, he proved them wrong by knocking Joshua down four times and claiming victory. Despite his sensational upset, in the rematch, Ruiz was unable to repeat his success and lost to Joshua via unanimous decision.
Despite this setback, Ruiz remains a formidable opponent for any heavyweight boxer. He possesses incredible speed and power, as well as an unorthodox fighting style that can catch opponents off guard. However, he will be gearing up for the biggest challenge of his career in ‘The Gypsy King’. Fury recently hinted that he has something big planned for the coming months and now Ruiz has more or less confirmed he will face the undefeated boxer next. The Mexican took to Instagram and shared a story announcing the talks for a bout with Fury.

However, one user defended this matchup and thought it was a good fight for Fury. He claimed that Ruiz Jr. was the mandatory challenger for the WBC title and other fighters like Joshua and Deontay Wilder won’t fight till December.
Excellent fight. Usyk is busy with a mandatory and Joshua & Wilder won’t fight until December. This is the next best opponent. Tyson Fury is a throwback fighter, anyone who wants it can get it. All hail the Gypsy King 👑👑👑
