This is why we see numerous personalities with extremely successful careers battle mental health-related problems. The story of Britney Spears certainly stands out. Recently, world champion boxer Sunny Edwards showed his concern for Britney Spears and sympathized with her. He retweeted a video of her.

Sunny Edwards shows concern for Spears

Sunny Edwards took to Twitter to talk about the dark side of fame. He shared a video of Britney Spears and showed his concern for the pop star. Edwards wrote, “We are really seeing what modern fame can do to the human brain, mixed with trauma from her environment.”  He added, “I really hope she gets the help she needs.”

Britney Spears has been going through a rough patch in her life. The supreme court put her under conservatorship as she was declared unable to manage her finances and make coherent decisions. In the current circumstances, Spears has worried the fans and now Edwards.

Sunny Edwards himself is a strong advocate of mental health. He has been open about his struggles with mental health for a while now. The flyweight champion battling his mental health and being honest about it shows he is a fighter inside and outside the ring.

What happened to Britney Spears?

Known for putting smiles on her fan’s faces, Britney Spears’s personal life lacked joy after her divorce from Kevin Federline in 2007. Spears’ behavior changed, as she started acting very odd and unsteady. She lost custody of her two kids, and things took a turn for the worse. She made headlines for hitting the car of a photographer with an umbrella.

In 2008, by the supreme court’s order, a conservatorship was established for the welfare of the pop star. Her father, James Spears, made all her personal and financial decisions. James stepped down as her daughter’s guardian recently and was replaced by a professional in 2019. The conservatorship ended in 2021. Afterward, Spears married her boyfriend, Sam Asghari.
