Perhaps the best part of this fight was that Vasquez won the bout despite suffering a deadly shot to the face. This means Edward Vasquez remains undefeated at 8-0.

The Texas native secured the victory via decision and was more dominant throughout the fight. Vasquez got in close effectively to cut down the distance and outboxed his more experienced opponent. Ochoa suffered his second professional loss in his career. It was disappointing as he lost the chance he had at winning the fight.
