Nearly two years after he started his journey in crossover boxing, Faze Temperrr has finally decided to hang his gloves. The FaZe Clan president released a statement through his X handle. Never the one to forget what the journey is more about—the travel, the people you meet—than the very destination, Temperrr, whose real name is Thomas Oliveira, took time to introspect his calling and thanked everyone who stood by him through hardships.
FaZe Temperrr fought his debut fight on the Deji Olatunji–Alex Wassabi card on March 5, 2022. He won the fight unanimously. However, his next fight against Slim Albaher ended disastrously, as he lost the bout with a second-round knockout. Though he won the third fight, FaZe Temperrr was to suffer a second loss when he replaced Dillon Danis to face KSI. In his last fight, FaZe Temperrr faced MMA fighter and YouTuber Josh Brueckner. The bout ended in a second-round technical knockout loss for the Brazil-born Temperrr. Many prominent names joined fans and followers to express their solidarity with the founding member of the FaZe Clan.

Though grateful to boxing, FaZe Temperrr spoke about how the rigors of the training and the physical challenges gave him the right values to uphold. Not only did it shape his character, but boxing helped him forge close friendships as well. “However, as I stand at this crossroads, I realize that my health & well-being must come first—for the sake of my fiancée, my son, & our future. The physical toll of boxing has become too great a risk to ignore, & continuing on this path could jeopardize everything I hold dear,” said FaZe Temperrr.
The professional gamer said that this should not be treated as a final farewell to boxing. However, he had to make a decision to channel his efforts towards becoming a dedicated family man. He also had a special word of thanks for his trainer, Malik Scott.
