A bout between YouTube sensation turned boxer Jake Paul and Tommy Fury seems to be one that boxing fans will never get to see. Despite the bout being booked over three times, the fight never came to fruition. Most recently, the two were supposed to face in August but the fight was called off after Fury was denied entry into the United States.

However, tensions between the two spiked after Paul tried to sabotage Fury’s bout at the Floyd Mayweather vs Deji undercard. Paul appeared at the event trying to troll Fury after he went on to the commentator’s table and started dissing the Love Island star mid fight. This led to an altercation at the spot as Fury tried to jump out of the ring and fight ‘The Problem Child’. Moreover, even his father, John Fury, also came at Paul, challenging him to a fight.
This led many fans to believe that the two could face next, following Paul’s victory over Anderson Silva. However, according to Fury, Paul has not yet replied to his offer. In a tweet, the British boxer claimed that he had already sent a contract to Paul but was yet to receive any word from their end. He also stated that this would be his last tweet until Paul replies to him “NO RESPONSE to my team from@jakepaul in regards to sorting contracts for this fight. My last tweet until I have some communication from your side.” he wrote.

This kind of social media negotiation has become a trend in boxing. However, this often amounts to no progress as both fighters just end up feuding on social media. If Paul wants to face Fury, the terms will certainly be discussed behind the scenes and not on social media.
Jake Paul’s promotion responds to Tommy Fury
Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions have responded to Fury, countering every claim he has thrown. The promotion’s Twitter page claims to have been in contact with Frank Warren and Queensberry promotions to get the fight booked.

Now that Paul’s promotion has claimed that they have been in contact with Fury’s team, the tweet from Fury seems trivial. However, this makes it confusing for fans who cannot seem to understand why these fights never get booked with constant blaming of the other party.
