Tommy Fury shared an announcement. Over a year after the fight against archrival KSI, he will return for an exciting match. This time he will face mixed martial artist and UFC title contender Darren Till. Needless to say, the announcement caused quite a stir.
The fight on Misfits and DAZN’s X Series 20 will take place on January 18 at hometown Manchester’s Co-Op Live. Last year, a win over ‘The Problem Child’ Jake Paul helped ‘TNT’ grab major headlines. Following his fight against KSI, Fury suggested putting brakes on the crossover boxing. But sometime later, his views seemingly underwent a few changes.

“IM BACK. Co-Op Live, Manchester,” said Tyson Fury‘s brother. Darren Till, who challenged Tyron Woodley for the UFC’s welterweight title, last fought Dricus du Plessis in 2022. On July 6, this year, he fought in a boxing exhibition against Mohammad Mutie in the UAE. Incidentally, Till’s name appeared for Jake Paul and Mike Tyson‘s earlier scheduled July 20 card. He was supposed to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

However, the event met with cancellation and was subsequently postponed due to Mike Tyson’s medical emergency. As a result, the Till-Chavez Jr. bout never saw the light of the day. As far as Tommy Fury is concerned, talks of a rematch against Jake Paul and KSI abounded.
However, to no avail. Perhaps they will round back later in the future. In December last year, reports of negotiations for a fight between Tommy Fury and legend Roy Jones Jr. emerged. But the fight somehow never got off the ground.

As far as fighting Tommy Fury is concerned, Idris Virgo may have some experience. Only that the clash took place outside the ring. The two reportedly brawled during the KSI-Joe Fournier face-off last year. Nevertheless, he seems willing to wait for a winner to emerge. “I WANT THE WINNER!!!” said ‘The Bodybreaker.’.
Let’s hear it from David Adeleye. “I like this fight 🤝,” said the former WBO European heavyweight champion who used to spar with ‘The Gypsy King’. But the announcement seems to have surprised Mike Perry. “Yall fighting?” said the bare-knuckle fighter who lost a boxing match to Jake Paul in July.
However, super middleweight champion Savannah Marshall expressed excitement. It looks like she’s looking forward to the crossover bout between Fury and Till. She said, “This is one crossover I’m excited for!” Boxer Maurõ Antuñes Silva checked for a place on the undercard: “Get me on this card; any man can get it!”

It’s not that the matchup intrigued everyone. For instance, this user pulled Tommy Fury for criticizing Jake Paul for not fighting boxers. But the fact remains that he is himself for not living up to his words. “Moans about Jake not fighting boxers, and now Fury’s doing the same 😂 unbelievable.”
Likewise, the next user also threw shades at Tommy Fury. “Remember you got mad when Jake fought an MMA fighter,” they reminded Tyson Fury’s brother. However, he is now following in the footsteps of the American YouTuber-turned-boxer: “Now you are fighting one 😭😭🙏.”
The reactions appear to fall on opposite sides. However, to his diehard fans, Tommy Fury might be walking the talk though.

After all, he did confirm that he would continue with the crossover scene. “Let’s not beat around the bush; it’s a lot better financially than conventional boxing, so I’m going to make the most of the cross-over scene, and when all that is said and done, I will challenge the top boys and see how I go,” he said in an interview. So if that is the case, there shouldn’t be any issues fighting Till.
