Now that Dillian Whyte is out of the way, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are one step closer to their match. In a recent tweet, “The Gypsy King” upped his trolling game and mocked the unified heavyweight champion.
Joshua vs Fury could be the biggest fight in British heavyweight boxing history. Although the bout is a distant reality, the duo has been going at it on social media, especially Fury. In his latest tweet, Fury called Anthony Joshua a “bum.”

When will Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury collide?
Originally, Dillian Whyte was the mandatory challenger for the WBC heavyweight championship. He was a major hurdle in front of Fury vs Joshua, as Fury would have been forced to fight Whyte after his trilogy with Deontay Wilder. However, Whyte lost his mandatory status and interim championship on August 22 via a brutal knockout.
Now, the only athletes that keep Fury and Joshua from fighting are Kubrat Pulev and Wilder. As per the latest developments, these fights will take place later this year. Fury will put his WBC title on the line against Wilder. And he must defeat the “Bronze Bomber” to fight Joshua.
On the other hand, Joshua will have to go through Kubrat Pulev. Should both men defeat their respective opponents, they will most likely face off against each other in 2021. However, it’s easier said than done.
The heavyweight division is unpredictable, and any fighter can knock out anyone. Just look at Dillian Whyte vs Alexander Povetkin. Who would have thought that after losing four rounds, Povetkin will uppercut Whyte into oblivion?
Both men seem to understand the unpredictable nature of the heavyweight division. A few months ago, Fury said that Wilder will be more dangerous in the third fight.
“He’s still a very dangerous opponent, still a very hungry man, who is coming in there to prove his worth, to prove he can come back and become a two-time heavyweight champion.”

Similarly, Joshua also acknowledged that Pulev is a tough fight.
“Pulev is another tough challenge which leads me to another challenge which is a champion. God willing, I get my hands on Tyson Fury/WBC belt. So I’m just loving it, I can’t wait.”
