Boxing is a sport of numerous stakeholders. As simple as it seems to finalize a fight, it’s a totally different story. He is one of the few boxers to have cemented themselves as undefeated greats of the sport.
It is safe to say that Mayweather Jr was ready to take on anyone inside the ring during his time. But, recently, a former world champion has claimed that even after being offered to fight Mayweather Jr, the fight did not come to fruition because of Mayweather.
Tim Bradley Jr. recently revealed details about the offer he had to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr, and he also discussed why the fight never came to fruition.

Tim Bradley Jr. reveals why the Mayweather fight never happened
In a recent interview with FightHype, the former two-weight division world champion Tim Bradley Jr discussed the offer from Mayweather’s side for a potential matchup. The world never saw this clash inside the ring and the reason behind it was well explained by Bradley too.
Bradley Jr said, ” The only fight that got away from me is the Floyd Mayweather fight. I was asked by Top Rank to fight Manny Pacquiao for the third time. My contract was up so of course it was part of the deal. That’s what a lot of promoters do. They tie a big fight and tie an extension into your contract.”
While Bradley was contractually obligated to fight Pacquiao in a trilogy match, at that time, he was approached by Mayweather Jr’s representatives.
The ‘Desert Storm’ further revealed that he was offered $8 million to fight Mayweather Jr. And, Mayweather’s side did not want Bradley Jr to consider fighting Pacquiao.
In response, Bradley Jr asked them to pay him $4 million upfront to make him stop talking to Top Rank.
He said, “I was like, you don’t want me to fight Manny. Wire me four million dollars. And, they said we gonna get back to you for that. Never heard back.”
Bradley Jr did not hold back from taking shots at Mayweather Jr. And once took a dig at the five division world champion for his haircut.
