It looks like the Paul brothers are going all out against Gervonta Davis. At first, it was Jake Paul, who mocked Tank’s height while accepting the latter’s challenge last year. Now, his older brother Logan Paul has taken things to a whole other level with a recent dig at the WBA lightweight champion.
On the latest episode of his podcast Impaulsive, the WWE star sat down with veteran Hip Hop star Clifford Harris Jr. aka T.I. During the conversation, when T.I. acknowledged the stellar work that Logan Paul is doing with the WWE, the rapper also brought up Gervonta Davis. “Congratulations to you man, for I guess getting people to take you seriously as a fighter,” T.I. began.
However, even though Paul has been praised massively for his work in wrestling, his boxing career has not garnered much praise. Harris believes that it will change “when you fight Gervonta. Surely people will recognize you with more praise. I feel like that will make people value you more.” To much surprise, the Maverick immediately dismissed the fight, claiming, “Size matters. I don’t give a f*** how good he is, you understand?”

The Maverick has usually fought in the cruiserweight category and weighs nearly 200lbs. On the other hand, despite winning world championships in multiple divisions, he has never gone past the Super lightweight division. Therefore, the weight difference, according to Paul, will be too much for Tank to handle. “I learned it when I fought Floyd. I realized size matters,” stated the Cleveland native. The fight against Floyd Mayweather, Paul believes, has given him enough confidence to claim, “I would f–king kill Gervonta in a fight.”
The audacious statement definitely made everyone awkward. However, Logan Paul followed the statement up with an even more direct knock: “Gervonta, you’re a good fighter, but stay in your lane, weight class.”

While the conversation might have not reached Gervonta Davis’ ears yet, it looks like we are witnessing the start of a new rivalry. In a recent conversation with Lil Yachty on ‘A Safe Place Podcast,’ Tank rained down on ‘The Maverick’ and decided to give him a reality check.
Gervonta Davis acknowledges the real effort
During the interview, rapper Lil Yachty asked whether the Baltimore native considers the celebrity or crossover fighters as real “boxers”, especially the “Paul brothers.” Without missing a beat, the WBA lightweight champion refused to consider Logan Paul as one but did extend the courtesy to his younger brother. “I think it’s okay to call Jake Paul a boxer. The only reason why I say that is because he do be in the gym,” posited Tank defending the younger Paul brother.

He considers only The Problem Child as a real boxer because he has been putting in the work and actually takes the sport seriously. “He’s like working on stuff,” added Gervonta Davis. On the other hand, the elder Paul only has had one professional fight and one Misfits bout and hasn’t boxed in more than a year.
While we have not gotten a reply from Logan Paul, it should be a matter of time. After all, when have Paul brothers ever let go of things quickly? But it will surely be interesting to see how this rivalry progresses. Do chime in with your thoughts down below.
