Devin Haney is geared to fight Ryan Garcia on April 20 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. However, this could be his last fight ever around a similar date. As a devoted Muslim, ‘The Dream’ Haney celebrates the festival of Ramadan and adheres to all the rules of the month-long festivities.

Speaking to talkSPORT’s Fight Night on Saturday, Duke McKenzie expressed his concerns about Garcia’s deteriorating mental health while commenting on some of the claims Garcia made during his press tour. During Garcia’s first press event for the Haney fight, Garcia had publicly claimed that he smokes and drinks. This didn’t sit well with McKenzie.

“I think when you’re a world champion, you have to carry yourself as a world champion. I don’t really see that in Ryan Garcia’s makeup right now. He’s publicly said he smokes weed, drinks alcohol, and gets drunk regularly. These aren’t the sort of traits you would expect of a world champion,” said McKenzie. He further added, “Somebody should pull him out,” because he is not in the right state of mind.
