With a little more than a month left for their highly important fight, both Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are leaving no corner uncovered in their preparation. A new video on the internet, however, has made fans believe that Fury is poised to claim victory on fight night. Will ‘ The Gypsy King’ be able to match up to these expectations?

After multiple schedules collapsed, May 18th seems like the day when the two heavyweight titans will finally face off. After all, whoever is responsible for the jeopardy of that date too, will have to cough up £10 million (almost $12 million) in penalty. Apart from that, on the line is also the historic undisputed crown of the heavyweight division that has remained unclaimed since 1999. With so much on the line, Fury has sought his father’s help to buckle up for the fight.

Boxing insider, Michael Benson uploaded a video on his X, in which 35-year-old, Tyson can be seen sharing the ring with his father-cum-trainer, John Fury. The father-son-duo seemed to be occupied, relentlessly preparing for the May showdown. While Big John held the mitts, his son, the WBC champion, took powerful shots at it.

While Sugar Hill Steward is the fighter’s formal trainer, he spends occasional days with his father, brushing his skills for the ring. However, in this video, he did more than just brush up his skills.

While the fight is equally significant for him as his opponent, Usyk, for Fury, there is something to prove. When their February fight fell through owing to a cut he suffered above his eyebrow, folks held him accountable. To an extent, conjecture also suggested that he fabricated the cut to keep the clash from happening. However, resilient through it all, now, it looks like the fighter is determined to prove them all wrong.

“Usyk is absolutely finished”

While energy seemed high in the video, multiple fans noticed that the Lancashire-based fighter was hopping a lot while prancing through the ring. A fan noted that if he did the same against Usyk, he’d tire himself soon.

Another fan, highly impressed, was in awe of the physique Fury has built for the fight. They predicted that the fighter would defeat his Ukrainian counterpart.

Another user continued the theory that the fighter’s eyebrow cut was to buy more time to prepare for the fight.

Hyperbole was evident in a comment where a user claimed that Tyson looked so tough in the clip that even three Usyk’s would find it hard to take him down.

Another fan was fine even if the fighter lost to Usyk, as long as on fight night only the best Tyson Fury entered the ring.
