Sunny Edwards recently shared the video of Lopez giving the interview where he discussed his reasons behind the controversial statement. While talking to the interviewer, Lopez defended his comments and seemingly found nothing wrong in them. He said, “I’ll tell you like man, you know why I said I’d kill this man, because I want to die lowkey. At least if I die, I die doing what I love.”

Mark Kriegel appeared to be confused with his statement and asked him, “You want to die?”. ‘The Takeover’ replied positively and said that was indeed the case. However, he claimed he can’t die outside the ring. Moreover, his words worried the British champion, so he penned a worried statement about Lopez. He wrote, “He actually needs help, not a world title boxing fight. I know I’m one to talk but this seems like a genuine cry for help.” The British champion wrote a worrying message with concern towards the 25-year-old boxer.

Is Teofimo Lopez really okay?

Lopez has been receiving heat ever since he claimed to “kill” the Scottish boxer. As someone who has defeated the likes of Vasyl Lomachenko, Lopez appears to be very frustrated. This possibly stems from his loss against George Kambosos Jr. a year after his unanimous victory against ‘Loma’. Since then, he has been looking forward to once again holding another title. And he has finally gotten his chance, as this seems to have fueled the fire in his heart.
