Canelo Alvarez and John Ryder are both ready to step into the ring to settle their differences. Ryder will be eager to get his hands on Alvarez’s undisputed titles. And the Mexican boxer will be as eager to defend it. The fight marks the homecoming of ‘Saul’ as he returns to fight in his hometown of Jalisco, Guadalajara. The fans are eager to see the two clash inside the ring and to see whether Ryder becomes the first Brit to beat the Mexican. Everyone in the boxing world has made their predictions for this fight. And Ryder’s colleague and friend, Conor Benn, has also opened up about his take on the fight.

The WBA continental welterweight champion is close friends with Ryder. And he even helped Ryder in training for the fight. It is not a secret who Benn is supporting for the fight, and he has made some strong claims with less than a day left for the flight.

Conor Benn believes the “pressure is gonna be too much for Canelo”

In a recent video posted by Matchroom Boxing, Benn opened up about his views on Alvarez’s homecoming fight. And how Ryder stands a strong chance against one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world. He also highlighted the improvements Ryder has gone through.

Benn said, “John’s at his best year last year. I wouldn’t even look at Canelo’s last two performances. I look at John and look at John’s last two performances. ”  He further opened up about the improvements he’s made.

Benn added, “You know in John’s last year and how’s John looked. And how he’s developed and how he’s come on leaps and bounds. “

Benn is confident about Ryder’s skills and more focused on what ‘the gorilla’ has achieved in the last few years. He added, “I think that this pressure is gonna be too much for Canelo.”

Benn is on Ryder’s corner. And believes that the Brit will be unbeatable if he follows the “game plan” which has been laid out by his team.

Conor also believes that Ryder will be the best version of himself on Saturday night.

There is no doubt in the fact that this is the biggest fight of Ryder’s career. And he will be eyeing to deliver a thrilling performance against one of the best in the sport.
