Oscar De La Hoya recently disclosed that he had three potential opponents for the 24-year-old. Although the CEO of ‘Golden Boy Promotions’ did not reveal the names of the fighters he had in mind for Garcia, he announced he would allow the orthodox fighter the liberty to pick an opponent of his choice. While the boxing world remains unaware of Oscar De La Hoya’s list, Garcia declares his interest in fighting ‘Rolly’ Romero.
Following his controversial win over Ismael Barroso, Romero called out Ryan Garica. In his opinion, the winner of Garcia vs. Romero should even face Gervonta Davis for the second time. Garcia, who recently teased his fans with a speedy ring return with a bout at 140 lbs, has answered Romero’s call out. The former WBC title holder took to Twitter and wrote, “Okay rollies you asked for it. Let’s get it. This one is for Barroso,” Garcia added, conveying he would likely avenge Barroso’s recent controversial defeat.

According to a number of boxing fans, “Romero is food for everyone“, and is the easiest fight Garcia can take at the moment. Of course, at the end of the day, to borrow the words from Oscar De La Hoya himself, ‘a boxer is as good as his last fight’ and everybody eventually forgets about the loss once you are back winning.
