The pound-for-pound list is a sensitive topic when it comes to boxing. The boxers themselves want no part of the debate and would usually just hint at their disinterest in the list with an eye roll. However, Terence Crawford actively claims to be the best pound-for-pound boxer. And it seems that the ESPN ringside agrees with Crawford as they came up with the list for this year. ESPN makes the list every year, and it usually causes disagreements between a lot of people. Especially when the boxer of their choosing doesn’t make the cut.

It seems the CEO of Mayweather Promotions Leonard Ellerbe also shares the dislike for the list, as he chose to share his disagreement with the list on Twitter. Ellerbe’s response to the list came out just hours after ESPN shared the list.

The list is as follows:

Leonard Ellerbe calls the pound-for-pound list “BS”

ESPN Ringside recently shared a list of this year’s best pound-for-pound boxers in a Tweet. It seems that neither the boxing fans nor Leonard Ellerbe agree wholeheartedly with the list, which is a common occurrence as there are generally no standard criteria for making these kinds of lists. Ellerbe wrote a fuming message on Twitter showing how much he disagreed with the list. Ellerbe wrote, “This is why nobody takes whomever makes these lists up seriously. Y’all can have these bs lists“. Recently, their women’s pound-for-pound list also caused a massive stir.
