Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. are in talks to unify their welterweight belts, marking a highly anticipated fight between the two champions. Negotiations were briefly suspended last year when Crawford chose to fight David Avanesyan instead of Spence, and this obviously disappointed a good chunk of boxing fans. On the other hand, Spence made a deal with former Welterweight champion Keith Thurman and plans to fight again in the Welterweight division before moving up in weight. But all hope is not lost yet, as the fighters are showing some interest in fighting each other lately.

Boxing reporter Michael Benson recently shared the news on his Twitter account. He wrote, “Errol Spence vs Terence Crawford contract talks have reportedly now restarted, with both sides “hopeful” that the fight can be finalized. However, it’s claimed Spence vs Keith Thurman is “tentatively scheduled” for June 17th as back-up.
