As he showed his belts to his fans on Christmas, what fans also got a glimpse of was a special room with a mini boxing ring. De La Hoya is widely recognized as one of the top boxers of his era, earning the moniker “Golden Boy”. Nestled within the walls of his mansion was a transformed space, a mini boxing ring at its heart, resonating with the thunderous echoes of De La Hoya’s illustrious past.

During the season of cheer, Golden Boy showcased not just his tangible victories, but an immersive experience that encapsulates the essence of his triumphant journey. This room, adorned with the relics of his glory days, stands as a testament to the indomitable spirit that fueled his rise to the pinnacle of the sport. Since going online, fans have shared their opinions about the latest addition that adorns the De La Hoya house.

Oscar De La Hoya introduces fans to his ‘boxing room’

In a video that De La Hoya posted online, he showed fans around the “boxing room” which holds his “miniature boxing ring.” In addition, it also had a few golden mannequins which he plans to adorn with robes of his opponents like Floyd Mayweather. On a glass-tinted wall, he plans to put his 11 championship belts up for display.

De La Hoya proceeded to show fans a glimpse of the few belts that were already there in packages. The packages included the Ring magazine belt, the junior middleweight championship belt, the P4P belt, and more. On the TV that hangs on the walls, he plans to watch boxing matches.

Fans were impressed with the room and everything in it. They took time to jot down their thoughts about the monumental display.

De La Hoya’s girlfriend and former Fox News correspondent Holly Sonders was one of the first to comment. “Such a special room! Love honoring you,” said Sanders.

“Congrats on the new Ring belts. Well deserved bro,” said another fan congratulating him for the belts.

“It’s never too late, get back in the ring. You still have it!” said a fan, hoping De La Hoya would once again step back in the ring after his retirement..

“This is super awesome. Can’t wait to see it,” said one fan, impressed by the unfinished display.

“So cool! Congrats you earned it,” congratulated another fan of the boxer.

This is an attempt by de La Hoya to preserve his boxing career even after retirement. Fans, certainly have no objection to it.
