Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre recently reached a height of success as the fighters he trained broke through all the doubts surrounding his ability as a coach. First, it was Terence Crawford who defeated Errol Spence Jr. to become the 2-division undisputed World Champion. Second was Chris Eubank Jr. who had his revenge against Liam Smith as he knocked ‘Beefy’ out in the 10th round of the match-up. Thus, as the coach of both fighters, BoMac was very well on his way to greatness.

However, things are not looking good for him right now. Recently, he was arrested by airport security at Manchester Airport this Sunday. He reportedly had a firearm in his suitcase while he was Atlanta-bound. However, it still remains uncertain how the firearm came to be in his possession. According to Daily Mail UK, the spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police stated, “At around 10:45 am on Sunday, 3 September 2023, officers were called to reports of a possible firearm being found in hold luggage by airport staff at Manchester Airport.”

They stated that the GMP officers seized the firearm and then the coach was apprehended for having possession of it. Apparently, the 53-year-old coach has already been charged with numerous charges, such as ‘possession of a firearm’ and ‘possession of ammunition,’ as confirmed by Greater Manchester Police. His detention is set to continue until a court appearance scheduled for October 9th.
