Mexican boxing sensation Canelo Alvarez’s boxing abilities speak for themselves, thus he doesn’t need to pick up a language to establish his value in the sport. You cannot, however, deny that his English has undoubtedly helped him gain more popularity in English-speaking nations. A lot of people have enjoyed the humorous English insults that he has made during press conferences. Recently, one of his interviews has been making rounds online where he mentioned some of his favorite cuss words.
The super middleweight king sat down with BigBoyTV for an interview on the day of his pre-fight presser with Edgar Berlanga. During the conversation, he explained which English slang words he liked the most.

The 33-year-old participated in a made-up segment by BigBoyTV called ‘Cursing with Canelo’. As he was asked which were his favorite cuss words, the boxing champ remembered a few and said, “Motherf**ker, son of a bi*ch, you fu**ing kidding me.” Furthermore, when asked about his favorite “motherf**king” fight, he replied, “One of my great motherfu**ing fight, Miguel Angel Cotto.”
To end the segment, he was quizzed about his one favorite English cuss word. After giving it a thought, he said “dumb bi*ch.” Well, the boxer has been a native of Guadalajara, Mexico, and spoke Spanish most of his life. However, his boxing career demanded speaking English to bring in more audiences. It would be unjust to give credit to the language than his talent, but it has certainly helped in bringing in more audiences. Even this video has gained a lot of traction. It is indeed funny to watch the boxer curse in English. Even he was laughing during the interview. Another fan felt that the boxer sounded like a small kid and said, “Ayo Canelo is like a little kid cussing.”

The Guadalajara native had admitted to feeling a bit insecure about not being able to speak English fluently. However, he has grown more self-assured over time, and his friends and colleagues have supported him in doing so. Although he said that the language courses had not been helpful enough, his pals were able to interact in English with him when he went golfing.
