A fan wrote, “This guy doesn’t deserve to be in the NBA.” No doubt Haynes deserves punishment but it would be very harsh if NBA ejects him. The organization should teach a lesson to Haynes and set an example to ensure that players avoid such fights on the court.

Since Haynes landed his fist on the back of Wagner’s head therefore a fan dubbed it as ‘Coward material.’

Another fan seemed very intrigued by the entire drama. He demanded justice in terms of the law.
Should be arrested. Being on a basketball court shouldn’t protect you from the law.

The place where Haynes connected is considered the most crucial and soft part of the head. In the heat of the moment, he caught Wagner’s back where the cerebellum, pons, and medulla are located. A small injury here could result in serious consequences to health. The Sports world has several unfortunate stories where players lost everything following injuries to the head.
Back of the head shots are extremely dangerous

He wasn't knocked out. You can see him peep his head up a couple seconds after this. He's just laying there so he doesn't get hit again LOL

That’s the one part of the brain the skull doesn’t protect, extremely dangerous and nasty even though I doubt it was intentional

No one foresaw such an unfortunate incident. Before the game between the Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic, players were at ease. Tensions increased with 33 seconds left in the second quarter.
It all started with Caleb Houstan’s pass. Hayes and Wagner, whose eyes were on balls started chasing it ruthlessly when the latter pushed the former out of the bound. Hayes’ teammate, Hamidow Diallo, who was behind pushed Wagner in retaliation. Before management personnel and coaches could do anything, Hayes took his revenge.
He unloaded his fist on Wagner’s back of the head which knocked out the latter.
