“This Family Talks Nothing but Rubbish”: Tyson Fury Saying His Father John Fury Would Beat Mike Tyson Doesn’t Sit Well With Boxing World

The stage is ready for Tyson Fury to take on Francis Ngannou in a bout of epic proportions. Ever since the announcement of the match, both fighters have been making the rounds on the internet. However, after a recent clip of Tyson surfaced on X, fans are left questioning – what was Fury thinking. But an even bigger question is – what started all of this, and does John Fury stand a chance against ‘The Baddest Man on The Planet?’

John Fury appeared in an interview with SecondsOut a few days ago, promoting the fight. He claimed he is willing to take on Mike Tyson in the undercard of the upcoming bout. Up until this point, there was no kickback from the community. But all that changed when Tyson Fury claimed ‘Daddy Fury’ would beat up ‘Iron Mike’ during an interview with Pro Boxing Fans. Was he joking? And can it turn into a reality?

Fans call Tyson Fury delusional 

There has not been any response from Mike after John made the bizarre callout to fight him. But Tyson Fury got a truck full of responses from the boxing world for his remarks on the matter. Saying people disagree would be a major understatement, as Fury has zero supporters for his claim.

A user responded by saying he would love to see a fight between them because Mike would take out John without a sweat. The user also expressed how John has been acting like he is invincible, and a beatdown from Mike would fix that behavior. 

Another user said he finds John funny, but John is no match for Mike Tyson. The user further elaborated by saying that the Fury family doesn’t have elite boxers besides Tyson Fury. Then the user finished by saying the fight would not be great for John’s hard man image.

The next user quite brutally explained that the whole Fury family talks nonsense. He even refers to the time when John ducked a fight against Micky Theo, calling father and son alike. The user asked Tyson Fury to vacate the WBC title and have all the easy fights he wants.

Another user resorted to sarcasm for describing his thoughts on the matter. The user claimed the Fury men need drug testing. 

The next user pondered on how the entire boxing scene has evolved over the years. Perhaps the user is reminiscing about the time when boxing was more about the sport and less about the fame.
