“This Dude Is Too Relax”: ‘Super Stoic’ Canelo Alvarez Dancing With the Former Harlem Globetrotter Player Draws Fans’ Appreciation

Canelo Alvarez yet again proved his naysayers wrong after defeating the undisputed super welterweight champion Jermell Charlo on September 30. After his loss against Dmitry Bivol, many believed that Alvarez was on a downward trajectory in the sport. Even in his fight against John Ryder, he got criticism for going the distance against a 32-6 fighter, as many predicted to see a knockout in this bout. Then Alvarez announced the Charlo fight in September and took upon the mantle to prove that he is still one the best boxers on the planet.

The fight was a big deal for everybody, as it was the first time that the world would witness a clash between two undisputed champions of different divisions. So, many believed that Canelo Alvarez would be nervous since this fight would be his answer to all the backlash online. However, you’d be surprised by the video that showed him dancing carefree before his fight against Charlo.

In the video, Canelo Alvarez is seen together with Crissa Jackson, a former Harlem Globetrotter  player. Jackson can be seen rolling the basketball on her index finger while dancing with Alvarez. Both of them can be seen dancing on México Lindo Y Querido by Vicente Fernández. The fans loved seeing a different side to ‘Cinnamon’.

One of the fans stated that Alvarez seemed relaxed before the fight. They even pointed out how he won in the sixth round by a knockout. They wrote, “This dude is too relax i say he wins in the 6th with a KO.”
