In the old boxing era, Mike Tyson grabbed all the fame and buzz. After the departure of Muhammad Ali, boxing lovers craved another flamboyant star. Tyson took over the sport, filled the void, and became a noteworthy face of the heavyweight roster.

With his boxing stint, Tyson inspired many youngsters to lace up the boxing gloves. An 18-year-old prodigy in Aloys Junior was one such youngster.

Junior, who inked a 5-year deal with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions, told iFL TV about how ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ inspired him.

“When I was young, I say when I was like six or seven years old, I saw Mike Tyson knock someone out. I was like, yeah, this is me. I’m like, yeah, this could be me,” he said.

Back in his prime, Tyson gave out performances that still send chills down the spine of boxing lovers. His unimaginable power, ability to decode his rivals’ fight style, and the knack of transferring all his weight onto his opponents, made him a fan favorite.

Tyson even took up the ring space in 2020 for an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr. With this outing, ‘Iron’ Mike once again grabbed many eyeballs, proving his case on why he’s an icon of the sport.

Is there a slight chance of Mike Tyson fighting again?

In the concluding months of 2021, Mike Tyson was in the news for his February 2022 comeback. However, ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ recently squashed all the buildup around his return, as he claimed he would never fight again.

However, fans can remain assured that they will see him in some form or the other as he has many other interests to look after. Hence, even if he doesn’t compete, Tyson still can inspire the budding generation of fighters.
