It’s Logan Paul vs. Andrew Tate. Inside a boxing ring. Facing each other, promising a real fight in an intense faceoff. But hold on; have a closer look. It’s their lookalikes. What’s more? The face-off has a dramatic ending, sending fans into a frenzy. But they are asking some serious questions too—what happened to the sweet science?

Crypto Fight Night 5 on December 6 at the Dubai World Trade Center had everything on offer for the fans. High-voltage fights, some brutal KOs, and a few tactical clashes. However, it all got overshadowed when the WWE star’s lookalike, Rodney Petersen, and ‘Top G’s lookalike, Brian Michael Hinds, made their way into the center and exchanged some words and more.

After getting involved in a heated back and forth, when Petersen, 36, asked Hinds, 29, to throw a punch to his face, the latter suddenly altered the dynamic and began to show off his Bottom G dance moves. This hilarious clip of the two—with one dancing while the other awkwardly looking on, inside a boxing ring—was enough to enthrall the audience. Hinds shook the fans with his electrifying steps and made the whole arena erupt with cheers. The two then shared a good laugh.

The clip of Hinds and Petersen in an unusual face-off soon swept the fans and made waves on the internet. The boxing fans then turned to the comment section and expressed their candid opinion on the same.

Fans have a field day

One fan vented their frustration but also admitted they couldn’t be mad at the clip. They said, “Like now they just mocking a great sport but those characters do to so how can i be mad at this.” Hinds is a pop star, who makes electronic music and has thousands of monthly listeners on Spotify and over 397k fans on Instagram. Along with it, the Berlin native has captivated fans with his dance clips.

A user disclosed they believed the face-off was better than the fight. They wrote, “This more entertaining than the fight would be 😂😂😂.” As Hinds doesn’t have a combat sports background and Petersen is 1-1 in exhibition boxing fights, the fight would have been lackluster.

However, this video involving Hinds and Petersen didn’t sit well with some, as they believed the two were making fun of boxing. They declared, “Poor box 😢. They’re making fun of this art.” Many hardcore fans have shunned influencer or crossover fighting, as they opine that it affects the sanctity of a serious sport. That’s the reason the likes of Jake Paul and KSI have received criticism in the past and continue to face the same.

A comment put the hopes of saving influencer boxing in Petersen’s hands. The comment read, “My guy @not_logan_paul_ single saving influencer boxing.” Petersen also has an MMA record of 0-6 but is best known for his antics, similar to that of Logan Paul.

Lastly, a fan mistook Petersen for Theo Von, a standup comic who is fond of combat sports. They asked, “Is this Andrew Tate vs Theo Von?” Combat sports fans are used to witnessing Von making an appearance at major combat sports events, including the recently concluded UFC 310.
