Undefeated WBC Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has always appeared confident about vanquishing his rivals inside the squared circle and his opinion regarding a potential matchup with fellow Briton Anthony Joshua is no different. ‘The Gypsy King’ has been quite frequent in taking verbal lashes at Anthony Joshua in the past and he unveiled something similar during his recent interaction with IFL TV. Fury, still fresh of his victory against former WBC champion Deontay Wilder stated that Wilder offered to face Anthony Joshua twice in the past which ‘AJ’ declined as per Tyson Fury.
While boxing fans continue to hope for a unification bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua shortly, Fury claimed that Anthony Joshua already had the opportunity to unify his belts against Deontay Wilder in the past. Both, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder were rumored to face off multiple times back in the days but the heavyweight thriller never came to fruition and Fury revealed the reason in a recent interview.

Tyson Fury lashes out at Anthony Joshua for ducking Deontay Wilder twice
Although Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder shared a heated buildup during their back to back heavyweight contests, ‘The Gypsy King’ has always been respectful to ‘The Bronze Bomber’ in several interviews. While interacting with IFL TV, Tyson Fury displayed a similar set of mind and hailed Deontay Wilder as the second-best heavyweight boxer after himself.

However, Fury seemingly raised a lot of eyebrows by claiming that his fellow Briton and World Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has declined to face-off Deontay Wilder twice. Both Wilder and Joshua have witnessed one loss each in their respective pro careers and is considered to be two of the greatest knockout artists from the modern era. Yet when it comes to Tyson Fury, ‘The Gypsy King’ preferably chooses Deontay Wilder over Anthony Joshua any day.
“I have got to give it to [Wilder], he has got the bottle… he wanted to fight the best. When I was out of the ring, retired, he tried to fight Joshua twice, it was going on for ages, we all know that”
“They offered him $80 million for a two-fight deal, and I know a few people who saw proof of funds – people who I definitely trust and he refused it. I don’t think they are going to get any bigger pay-days than that. They refused it because they were scared of getting chinned by the Bronze Bomber.” Fury said to IFL TV.
