Tyson Fury finally gets a fight. However, the match is not an entire 12-round bout. More so, his title won’t be at stake. The best of all, he meets a fighter who makes his pro-boxing debut on October 28. But his father, John Fury, remains convinced that the contest with Francis Ngannou will be nothing short of war. The former bare-knuckle fighter recently made news for his table-tossing act at his younger son Tommy Fury and KSI‘s press conference. He shared some thoughts about recent developments as his sons enter their battlefields next month.
Tommy Fury lines up for the second bout of the year at the Manchester Arena. But to all intents and purposes, the press conference ended up being what it wasn’t supposed to be. Piqued at KSI’s taunts, John Fury ranted and raved, slamming and hurling furniture before security controlled the situation. So, while speaking to ‘Seconds Out,’ he clarified how his emotions got the better of him.

During the conversation, he revealed his admiration for KSI, which might surprise many. He appreciated him and his brother Deji for getting the spotlight on their fights. The reporter tried to pull out his thoughts on the recently concluded Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois argument and the low-blow controversy. But John Fury refrained from commenting. Likewise, he didn’t confirm when asked for a Tyson Fury-Oleksandr Usyk lineup in the future.
John Fury said, “…when I see a heavyweight who can compete with Tyson at his level, I’ll let you know the rest...I ain’t talking about.” So the reporter asked, “What about Francis Ngannou respect for him for crossing over?” The former pro-boxer emphasized his utmost respect for the former UFC Heavyweight champion, who reached the summit of his game, fighting some of the most formidable opponents. So he believes the Cameroonian-French fighter will have a clear agenda: hammering Tyson Fury.
An all-out clash! Proclaims John Fury
Not expecting his son to come out of the fight without a scratch, John Fury continued, “… I’m glad that they are paying him well because if he [weren’t] paying him well, he wouldn’t be going up against Francis Ngannou. He’s going to get knocked about. Tyson knows up. Exhibition my backside. They’re going to kill each other and bear he’s got Mike Tyson there. He wants to impress Mike Tyson. Francis does. Tyson’s got an ego as big as Morecambe, so as the stage is set for a battle royale.”

For Tyson Fury, who fought in December last year, the crossover battle comes over the failed talks to bring about a Usyk or an Andy Ruiz Jr. fight. Not to forget the renewed discussion about fighting Anthony Joshua. The Francis Ngannou fight takes place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. ‘The Gypsy King’ remains the bookmaker’s favorite to win. Nevertheless, the addition of Mike Tyson to the Ngannou camp has added a new twist to the plot.
