Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford are all set to face each other in the ring as they battle for supremacy in the welterweight division. The winner would become the undisputed welterweight champion of the world. Both fighters appear very confident in their chances to win. Crawford especially has even made some intriguing claims about his plans for the fight, like how he would “dry rub” Spence.

Errol Spence Jr. recently appeared on a podcast in Million Dollaz Worth of Game. During the podcast, Spence shared who he thinks is the number one boxer in the world. He said, “I put Canelo [Alvarez] on No. 1”. ‘The Truth’ further explained, “For me, it’s just about how much you make”. He went further and called Alvarez a “cash cow”. Moreover, he added that Canelo Alvarez can fight a relatively smaller fighter and still earn $30-$40 million from the fight. Spence made it clear that his choice is based solely on the ability to earn money in the sport. However, as the clip surfaced on Twitter his words sent a lot of fans into a frenzy, and the clip received a lot of mixed reactions from fans.

Errol Spence’s recent comments on who the number one boxer in the world is have sent fans into a frenzy. The remarks, however, has sparked a heated debate among boxing enthusiasts. One fan Brandon Vargas hilariously wrote that Canelo’s haters are not going to like what Spence Jr. said.

Another fan complimented Spence Jr. He wrote, “That’s why they call him ‘The Truth’ he knows who the real face of boxing is.”

Meanwhile, Janson shared his agreement with Spence. He added that resume is the most important and that Canelo has the best resume out of all the current boxers. Janson claimed that “no other boxer is actively fighting high-level competition back to back in recent years.” Furthermore, he ended his message with “Canelo will be this eras best”.

Another fan agreed with Spence and said that in the end, boxing is a business too. He agreed that “making the most money makes you top dog.” He agreed that Spence didn’t make an “unreasonable argument”.

 

One user made the argument that if making money would make you the best then Jake Paul, Logan Paul, and KSI must be on the pound-for-pound list.

Meanwhile, Bryce Allen shared his disagreement and claimed that ”Canelo ain’t been top 5 since he got beat down by Bivol”.
