The heavyweight division is predominantly the best and the most competitive roster of the modern era. The entire credit to make this division so much alluring goes to some prime biggies like Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, and Deontay Wilder. This trio, until now, has displayed fiery performances, thus keeping the fans at the edge of their seats.

However, boxing legend, Larry Holmes, isn’t quite impressed with this pristine trio and its skills.

Speaking to Fight Hub TV, Holmes said, “They don’t have no skills. No, they can’t. Listen, you got to punch here, no guys punch, they throw punches like this, for a jab. You don’t throw punch straight, bang, bang, with the jab, you got to have that out there like that.”

“And you guess what? You can’t hit me with that right hand because this hand protect me. They don’t know how to throw the one-two, bang, bang, and get out and move out, protect yourself.”

Among the three boxers, Joshua and Wilder rely heavily on their power. However, fury is the one who brings something different to the table. That said, the Briton comes in with packed movements, swift flow, hand speed, and so much more.

Yet, in his latest trilogy, Wilder caught him twice, despite his ability to put his weight on his opponents. On the other side, Joshua and Wilder too faced defeats in the latest fights because of their approach.

Is the heavyweight division stagnated with the likes of Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, and Tyson Fury?

Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, and Deontay Wilder have some terrific achievements in the bag. Moreover, the heavyweight division is captivating because of these three competing actively.

That said, the big division is far from getting stagnated and 2022 seems to be an exceptional year with these three returning to action.

It’ll be interesting to see if anyone from these three goes on to become the undisputed champ by the year-end. Or, the Ukrainian stalwart, Oleksandr Usyk pulls off some upsets to cement his place in this division.
