The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is decked up for the ultimate clash between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk. Boxing fans from far and beyond have begun descending in Riyadh to witness the historic showdown that is all set to crown the first undisputed champion of the heavyweight division since 1999. In a video on the internet, Fury’s power to sell a fight was demonstrated by how many of his fans could fill a flight to Saudi.
It is estimated that the Kingdom Arena of Riyadh, the official venue for tomorrow’s fight will be filled to the brim. In addition to this report, Kal Sajad, BBC’s Saudi correspondent noted that about 2500 Britons are expected to land in the kingdom to see Fury go against his Ukrainian opponent. How excited are they? Watch this video to know.
On X, Boxing Kingdom posted a video in which an entire plane filled with fans of Fury can be seen travelling to Saudi for the fight. The videographer, who seems like an ardent fan of the heavyweight gave a tour of the entire economy class section in which each passenger joined him in as he sang a jingle dedicated to Fury. It went like, “Walking along, singing a song… Tyson Fury.!!!”

While the energy in the video was palpable, it failed to impress a certain section of the internet.
Tyson Fury Fans Know How to Make a Statement
One fan pointed out that the Saudis would be elated to see the traction this event is garnering. Which other event in recent history did we see wherein fans travelled across oceans to witness it? To remind you, a huge contention of Saudi events was that fans from the West would not travel all the way to watch them in person. However, this video has struck such an argument down.
The Arabs would just love this.

Another user was not impressed enough by the number of Fury fans in the plane. They pin-pointed at the empty seats.

Another user also pointed out the empty seats. However, along with that, they also pointed out that Saudi, a country in which alcohol is banned would be a different experience for ardent consumers of it, the Britons.
Empty seats and I feel sorry for them because there will be no alcohol 🍺 in Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦😂

Another user underscored the lack of enthusiasm the Britons exhibited. They suggested that they have used the fight as a garb for a vacation in the Middle East.
They don’t look very enthusiastic 🤔 they just wanted to go on vacation

Then came a user who also had an issue with the jingle. They did not find it jammy enough, perhaps?
