“These are People That…”: Arnold Schwarzenegger Once Drew a Strange Comparison Between Controversial Celebrities and Boxing Legend Muhammad Ali

The Paul brothers Jake and Logan have had a great professional relationship with 7-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger. Especially Logan, who even organized a slap-fighting contest with Schwarzenegger’s sports festival back in March.

Moreover, ‘The Terminator’ even made an appearance on Logan’s Impaulsive podcast before the fight. He stated that he was a huge fan of what the Paul brothers have accomplished in their careers. However, he then went on to make a strange comparison between the Paul brothers and boxing legends, Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson.

Arnold Schwarzenegger makes a strange comparison

The 7-time Mr. Olympia complimented the brothers. He stated that he was inspired by movies when he was young and now he and the Paul brothers are inspiring other people.

“I had a way of looking at the world through the movies and I got inspired and this is what we’re doing here today, it’s inspiring people to come out and watch,” he said.

However, he then compared the brothers to Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson, stating that they were similar in the way they came up from having nothing. “Look at Logan, look at his brother. So many people look at Muhammad Ali, look at Mike Tyson. These are people that came from nothing and they worked their way up and became something, you know. It can be done, so this is what it’s all about is inspiring everybody,” he added.

This was certainly a strange comparison from Schwarzenegger as, although there are similarities between the individuals and career trajectories, Tyson and Ali were the most revered and accomplished athletes during their times while the Paul brothers made their success by riding on controversies.

Logan Paul and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s slap-fighting championship

The slap fighting championship was a bizarre joint venture by Arnold Sports Festival, and Paul started on March 5th, 2022. The event was aired on streaming service Fanmio and Paul’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. Moreover, the contest took place over three rounds in which both fighters slap each other, with the person standing last after the slap getting a point.

The bizarre and intriguing nature of the sport made the championship a huge success. However, this might not be the only time we will see the pair together. Schwarzenegger stated in the podcast that he is interested in appearing in a movie with The Maverick in the future.
