This included former heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali, who was a very close friend of Stallone. However, despite many considering ‘The People’s Champ’ to be the greatest heavyweight that ever lived, Stallone thinks there is one man who has a greater legacy than Ali.

Sylvester Stallone snubs Muhammad Ali as the greatest heavyweight boxer

In an interview on ITV’s The Jonathan Ross Show tomorrow night, Stallone touched WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, as ‘the greatest heavyweight that ever lived. Sly praised Fury, claiming that he was a very gifted fighter with the charisma fit for a champion.

He’s a natural force of nature and he has charisma so why wouldn’t we want him? I think you’re the greatest heavyweight that ever lived and I’m a boxing historian, I studied this closely.” Said Stallone.

Moreover, he then added that if we were to combine all of Fury’s accomplishments and take into account his size, there was no boxer in any era who could have beaten him. “When you put together all your skills, plus your heart and your ability to recuperate and how you can move around so well at your size. There’s no one that could have beat you in any era.” He added.

Fury could be set to now work alongside Stallone in his Expendables franchise. In addition, this might be the reason Sly had such high praise for ‘The Gypsy King’.

Anthony Joshua urges Tyson Fury to conduct himself in a professional manner

The super fight between Joshua and Fury was one fans never got to see. Moreover, Fury constantly bombarding Joshua on social media to book the fight has led ‘AJ’ to call him out for this behavior. In an interview with Lad Bible, he urged Fury to conduct himself properly and in a more professional manner. “We need to conduct ourselves in better fashion because there’s youngsters that are watching us. I’m not the judge who can say what’s right or wrong, we just have to try and conduct ourselves in better fashion when we can, when we’re in front of the camera.” Said Joshua.

Despite Joshua’s criticism, Fury might not be too bothered by it as he is set to face Derek Chisora in his next bout on December 3rd. Moreover, Fury has also claimed that he might fight Oleksandr Usyk in early 2023 for the undisputed title.
