Savannah Marshall put up an incredible performance against Hannah Rankin this past weekend inside SSE Arena to grab the vacant WBO female middleweight title.
In the process, the British boxer extended her winning streak to 9-0 with a stoppage win over the former champion. Soon after the victory, arguably one of the greatest female boxers of all time, Claressa Shields, sent a stern warning to the WBO champion.

Claressa Shields shared her thoughts on the recently concluded title matchup and stated that she is happy about Marshall’s win over Rankin this past weekend.
“I like it though. Now that you fought for my WBO belt that became banky because I wasn’t active. Right. Now that you have won, who do you think your mandatory is, I am your mandatory, I am your mandatory,” Shields said.
Shields was last seen inside the boxing ring back in January of this year when she etched her name in the history book by becoming the fastest to win titles across three divisions. However, the American boxer has been quite inactive since her championship win over Ivana Habazin early this year.
“There’s no backing out now sugar. You gotta fight me. Seeing the amateurs, she always lost right before we had to fight again. She was nervous as hell to take them punches again. Like I said, look, the ones on my record when I was an amateur, 77-1. But I ain’t lost since man. I ain’t lost.”
Claressa Shields looking to avenge the sole loss of her boxing career
Claressa Shields reigned as the undisputed middleweight champion up until September of this year. She also holds the WBC and WBO light middleweight titles.
She holds the record of achieving this feat in the fewest bouts in both the men and the women’s boxing division across all weight classes.

With just 10 professional boxing bouts to her name, Claressa Shields has scaled the heights of female boxing. She is also considered to be the best pound-for-pound boxer of the modern era.
“I don’t even want to hear Savannah Marshall this, Savannah Marshall that. Come on, I am tired of talking about it,” Clarissa Shields said.
Claressa Shields remains undefeated, having lost only once in her entire boxing career, both amateur and professional.

Interestingly enough, the loss came against none other than Savannah Marshall. Shields had expressed her interest in a rematch against Marshall in the past.
Needless to say, when both the boxers collide against each other, it is expected to be a barn burner. Additionally, the winner of this match will determine the greatest boxer of all time beyond a reason of doubt.
