But Muhammad Ali’s grandson Nico Ali Walsh has stepped into the ring to live up to his grandfather. In a recent post on Instagram, Ali Walsh shared motivational messages and showed his determination to earn his place in the sport and make his late grandfather proud.

Nico Ali Walsh has a will of ‘fire’

On his Instagram, Ali Walsh shared a post depicting his dedication and determination to become one of the greatest in the boxing ring. He wrote, “There will always be someone who doesn’t believe in me. I’ll never let it be myself.” Along with the post, he shared pictures of some of his favorite boxers of all time. Notably, he shared images of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Mike Tyson on the post.

Moreover, Ali Walsh added that he wants to create a flex for people who once knew him. ‘The Legend Lives On’ has clarified that he means business and is here to claim the top spot for himself in the industry. Having Ali’s blood in his veins, Ali Walsh has shown that he is ferocious inside the ring and calm outside. Nico Walsh Ali made his debut in the ring in 2021. He won the bout against Jordan Weeks via a first-round knockout. One and a half years into his professional career, Walsh’s record stands at 8 wins and 5 knockouts.

Ali Walsh comments on his legendary grandfather

To follow in the footsteps of Muhammad Ali is not an easy walk. But it is something Ali Walsh is doing and has managed to do with a flair. “It seems like a lot of pressure; to me, it’s just my grandfather; he’s the greatest fighter who ever lived – maybe the greatest person,” said Walsh in an interview with ESPN.

Ali Walsh has been open about the influence of his grandfather on his boxing. In an interview with azcentral, the 22-year-old said that if it weren’t for his grandfather, he wouldn’t have been boxing. Furthermore, he talked about the pressure he felt because of his relation to the “greatest.” The middleweight boxer won his last bout against Eduardo Ayalla via unanimous decision. Prior to the bout, he sent a stern message to Ayalla proclaiming he is going to be unstoppable.
