Boxing fans have waited for a long time to see Tyson Fury go up against Anthony Joshua inside the squared circle. Irrespective of all the titles they carry, Fury vs Joshua has always been a fan-favorite fight for umpteen reasons.

While the matchup is yet to be made official, Frank Warren believes there’s no running away now. Unified titleholder Anthony Joshua knocked out Kubrat Pulev to call out WBC champion Tyson Fury in the post-fight interview on December 12th.

In response, Tyson Fury accepted the challenge and vowed to knock Joshua out. That further brought Top Rank CEO Bob Arum into the mix, who posed it as the greatest heavyweight championship fight since Ali vs Frazier in 1971.

Several things have happened, and it’s bizarre to write the heavyweight matchup off now. He connected with iFL TV to talk about the possibility of the fight, sending fans into a frenzy.

Warren said, “When it comes down to it. There’s been a lot of talks before that fight for the last year or so. Talking about Tyson and him and a lot of talk about how the fights were going to be made and splits and so forth.”

He added, “But at the end of the day, where would you go now? There is no ducking and diving now. The fight’s got to happen. If AJ doesn’t take this fight, then I will be very surprised. I think he is a fighting man, so I don’t think, how can he not take that fight.”

Oleksandr Usyk might be the man to dismantle the matchup. He is the mandatory WBO challenger, eyeing a matchup against Joshua in 2021. If ‘AJ’ wants to battle Fury, he will either have to face Usyk first or vacate his WBO heavyweight strap.

That said, fans will always want to see Joshua vs Fury over Joshua vs Usyk. If everything goes according to plan, we can see the ultimate Brit showdown happening by early 2021.
