Is Jake Paul’s physique proof of hard work or a sign of steroid use?

Mike Tyson has been calling Jake Paul fat since May. As they prepare to face each other on November 15, 2024, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, neither side is ready to back down. During the New York press event for the fight last month, ‘Iron Mike’ made fun of Paul’s weight again. “I don’t know if he is in his prime. He is fat. He should be lean and mean. He is fat and funky. I saw him with his shirt off over there. He is fat,” he stated.

Tyson’s mindset to break down his opponents mentally continued after the press conference as he playfully punched ‘The Problem Child’ in his belly, and shoved him during the face-off while laughing at him. Credit to Paul as he didn’t look phased by Tyson’s antics. However, there seem to be things left unsaid during the press conference that Paul got off his chest in his latest video.

In a post shared by Betr titled, “Heavyweight Jake Paul is offended,” on social media, the former Disney star seemed to be at his playful best as he was seen sitting on a couch, gorging on a bucket of KFC, while wearing an authentic-looking fat suit and replaying Tyson’s “he is fat” comment.

A packet of chips lay on his couch, along with aerated drinks and a jar of cheese balls on a table in front of him. “I am not fat. It’s heavyweight. F**k you, Mike,” Paul said while eating his chicken. Talk about taking things quite literally as Jake Paul’s comical response to Tyson’s fat-shaming tickled the boxing community’s funny bones.

The boxing match between Paul and Tyson will be an eight-round fight at heavyweight. Each round will be two minutes rather than the standard 3-minute round in pro boxing matches. Paul is going into his upcoming fight as the favorite, as he is about 31 years younger than Tyson.

Several boxing commentators have expressed concern about Mike Tyson’s health going into this bout, as there is a stark possibility of him being badly hurt by his opponent. This reminds us of the time Tyson was seen in a wheelchair in August 2022. He had shared that he was suffering from sciatica- a nerve condition that creates pain and inflammation in the affected leg. Yet his comeback has created a lot of hype. After all, he last fought Kevin McBride in 2005.

Meanwhile, the fans in the comment section had a gala time poking fun at Jake Paul’s fake belly in his latest video.

Can fans take Jake Paul seriously?

Social media users had so much to say.

“Steroid belly.”
“That looks like a steroid stomach if I’ve ever seen one.”
“Ahh, the bloated belly of the steroid user is always fun to see.”

Interestingly, Jake Paul’s brother, Logan Paul, who also looks ripped, has been accused of being on steroids for a long time. However, the same has been said about The Problem Child ever since people got to know he would be facing Mike Tyson.

Yes, Tyson in his prime was fierce, but he is 58 years old now and though he is in great shape, his 27-year-old opponent surely has an edge over him.

Another fan was quite impressed by Jake Paul’s skit video. They remarked, “Bro said it’s heavyweight.” Don’t be deluded by the video, as you can be assured that Jake Paul is in great shape and training hard for the fight. A loss to Mike Tyson could mean the end of his hopes of becoming a world champion boxer.

Meanwhile, if anyone still had doubts that Jake Paul’s potbelly was fake, one user pointed out the obvious, “It’s a body suit people lol.” They are less than two months away from a fight and not being in shape could prove costly for Jake Paul. After all, his opponent is Mike Tysom and any lapse in conditioning might present an opportunity for Tyson to punish Jake Paul.

One fan believed that the outcome of the fight was rigged. They commented, “This fight my as well be WWE.” Although the fight between Tyson and Paul was initially thought to be an exhibition match, it was later sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations. So, on paper, it is a professional fight.

However, we also witnessed some rather unusual opinions, like a fan writing, that the two opponents were actually friends. This reminds us of when Jake Paul was being lambasted on social media for making the switch to boxing from YouTube in his early 20s, Tyson was quite supportive of his move.

The fight was initially scheduled to happen on July 20, 2024, but was postponed due to a medical emergency. In the New York presser, Tyson conveyed to his fans that he was fine, and was back in training camp. It remains to be seen if he can prove his critics wrong, and knock out Jake Paul in the upcoming showdown.
